Quality Control
At our hot-dip galvanizing facilities and structural steel factory, quality control runs through three stages, from material intake to dispatch. Production quality and customer satisfaction guide every stage.
Explore the inspection stages
Traceable quality in three stages.
Incoming inspection
Incoming materials are checked against delivery documents in the black stock area. Dimensions and surfaces are inspected, followed by chemical composition and suitability for galvanizing.
Suitable materials move to the yellow area. Nonconforming items receive a rejection label and are separated in the red area. Incoming checks are recorded on the Galmetsan Galvanizing Coating Control Form under the traceability procedure.
Process inspection
Materials approved for galvanizing pass through the required zinc coating stages. Laboratory and quality personnel check each stage and document the results on the relevant forms for traceability.
If a nonconformity is found, the operation is repeated or a corrective and preventive action is opened through a nonconformity report. The quality management representative oversees the resolution and records the actions taken.
Process inspection follows the criteria set by applicable standards to support product quality and customer satisfaction.
Final product inspection
After zinc coating, materials move to the final inspection area. Coating thickness is measured with a micrometer and recorded on the Galmetsan Galvanizing Certificate. Two copies are prepared, one of which is sent to the customer.
Before dispatch, labels and packaging are checked according to the Final Product Inspection Instruction. Approved packaged materials move to the green dispatch area. All quality records are retained under the Quality Records Retention Procedure.
