Galmetsan's roots in the metal industry date back to 1979. The company was founded by entrepreneurs with a background in the field of zinc, the raw material of galvanization. This experience formed the basis for hot-dip galvanizing activities that started in 2005.
The first facility in Adana Hacı Ömer Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone went into operation in a covered area of 3,500 m² and an open area of 8,500 m². An annual galvanizing capacity of 30,000 tonnes was reported, using a 7,000 × 1,300 × 1,600 mm kettle.

Experience in metals and zinc laid the foundations for Galmetsan.

Hot-dip galvanizing
The first galvanizing plant began operating in Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone.

Structural steel fabrication
Investment in structural steel fabrication expanded the production site by 5,000 m².
- 2009
Investment in a second plant
A second galvanizing plant and structural steel facilities were built on an additional 23,000 m².

Growing production capacity
Combined annual production capacity reached 126,000 tonnes.
